Bok Choy Bowl
This 6" Bok Choy bowl works two classic motifs in one piece — a celadon green ground with a painted bok choy cabbage leaf border ringing the interior rim, and a famille rose center medallion populated with birds in flight, full-bloom peonies, and a butterfly. The bowl has a shaped notched rim rather than a simple round edge, giving it a formality that reads as intentional and collected.
Bok choy and cabbage leaf motifs have been a staple of Chinese export porcelain for centuries, rooted in the symbolism of prosperity and abundance. Paired with the famille rose palette, this piece sits at the intersection of two of the most collected Chinese porcelain traditions.
Use it as a catch-all, a condiment bowl, or a standalone display piece on a stand or layered into a tablescape. Celadon vase in pictures not included.
Tucked inside every set, a little something for first time Tavola customers — a hand-finished vintage passport notebook. Note the piece, the moment, the person you gave it to. One day these pieces will sit in someone else's hands — and they'll know it came from yours.
