Rose Canton features the densely layered all-over design of peonies, butterflies, and birds framed by a Greek key border. Circular medallions in the inner band carry the shou character — the traditional Chinese symbol for longevity — woven into the composition alongside the classic palette of rose pink, celadon green, and iron red.
Rose Medallion alternates panels of court figures with florals and birds radiating from a central medallion — the more narrative of the two Canton traditions. Please note paint loss visible at the rim edges, shown clearly in photos.
