Issued by Royal Worcester as part of their Collector Series, each plate in this listing is drawn from the archives of the Worcester Royal Porcelain Company and the Dyson Perrins Museum — one of the most important collections of English porcelain in existence. The source material dates to circa 1811, and what was preserved in those archives is nothing short of spectacular: chinoiserie butterflies rendered with the kind of chromatic ambition that made Worcester famous. Jewel-toned wings in purple, teal, amber, and gold float across a white ground threaded with flowering vines, cherry blossom branches, and trailing botanicals. The rim is finished in gold.

Purple Butterfly — Series No. 2 | Edition No. 1,757 of 10,000. The dominant butterfly is a showstopper in deep purple, blue, and yellow, surrounded by four additional specimens in full flight against an open white ground.
Orange Butterfly — Series No. 3 | Edition No. 1,649 of 10,000. A richer, more layered composition with an orange and red butterfly at center, surrounded by moths, insects, and florals in a denser garden arrangement.
Both plates are in excellent condition. No chips or cracks.
