The Spode Blue Room Sunflower pattern has roots going back to 1812 — an all-over design of sunflowers and convolvulus rendered in deep cobalt blue and white, printed underglaze from hand-engraved copper plates in the tradition that made Spode one of England's most celebrated potteries. The vintage Blue Room Collection ran from 1996 to 2003 and is now discontinued, making these harder to find than they once were.
