Vintage Blue Danube Luncheon Plates, Set of 4
Some patterns never go out of style. They just wait for the right table.
We call her Sayuri. Four vintage Blue Danube luncheon plates in the iconic Blue Onion pattern. Cobalt blue botanical motifs on white porcelain, with the most delicate scalloped edge that catches light like lacework. A design rooted in Yuan Dynasty symbolism, reimagined for the American table and produced in Japan from 1951 to the late 1990s. Discontinued, and increasingly hard to find in this condition.
Perfect for a dressed lunch, an afternoon spread, or layered into a fuller table setting.
Details: Set of 4. Measures 8.75 inches. Blue Danube Japan stamp c. 1977–1996. No chips, no crazing, no cracks.
Pairs beautifully with the Vintage Blue Danube Salad Plates, also available in the shop. Together, they're the makings of a table with a story to tell. Complete the look with our Indigo Piazza Table Cloth and Bordeaux Block Print Napkins.
