A familiar shape, dressed in an uncommon glaze.
This vintage "Gaggle of Geese" planter is a Holland Mold design, its ring of geese forming both the rim and the handles of the piece, necks arched and beaks touching down to the base. Most examples of this design were finished in white with painted yellow beaks and feet, which makes this one stand out. Here, the glaze runs in a warm, mottled taupe with with deep mustard-yellow beaks carried through as an accent, giving the piece a richer, more sculptural presence than the standard colorway.
Marked Holland Mold on the base. Perfect for plants florals or as a catchall, and most certainly a fun conversation piece.
Small chip on underside not visible.
Tucked inside every set, a little something for first time Tavola customers — a hand-finished vintage passport notebook. Note the piece, the moment, the person you gave it to. One day these pieces will sit in someone else's hands — and they'll know it came from yours.
